History

Dairy Industries Jamaica Ltd. (DIJL) was registered on April 23, 1964 and started its operations in Jamaica in 1967 at Harbour Cold Stores in Newport West. We commenced our operations with only 12 staff members on a two-shift system to cope with the Easter demand for cheese. In 1971, we moved to our current location, 111 Washington Boulevard in Kingston. Today we employ approximately 35 full time staff and whenever the need arises we call on an experienced team of more than 70 contract workers.
